What are the characteristics of new spinning?
The new spinning eliminates spindles, rings, travellers and other twisting parts, and the twisting mechanism is separated from the winding mechanism. Therefore, the new spinning has the following characteristics:

The output of the existing ring spinning frame depends on the spindle's rotation speed. On the one hand, the increase of spindle speed is limited by the wire speed of the traveler, because the wire speed of the traveler will inevitably increase with the increase of spindle speed. According to the current technical conditions, the wire speed of the traveller should not exceed 40 m/s, beyond which the traveller will heat up a lot and produce flying rings to increase the broken ends; on the other hand, it is limited by the balloon tension, because the increase of spindle speed, the friction resistance of the traveller, the centrifugal force of the balloon and the air resistance of the balloon will increase correspondingly, resulting in the increase of yarn tension and its fluctuation. Additionally, the balloon shape is not stable, which makes the yarn broken ends increase.
The new spinning adopts a new twisting method, and the twister speed is no longer limited by the wire speed as the traveller, so the output is greatly increased. By comparing the yarn speed, it is obvious that ring spinning is 15-20 m/min, rotor spinning is 40-150 m/min, friction spinning is 100-280 m/min and jet spinning is 120-200 m/min.

In ring spinning frame, the way to increase the package is to increase the length of tube and the diameter of ring. However, the increase of cylinder height will increase the balloon tension during the initial spinning stage and increase the diameter of rings, and increase the broken ends due to the increase of wire speed of travelers. Therefore, the increase of winding capacity of ring spinning machine is limited by the length of cylinder and the diameter of rings. Because of the separation of twisting and winding mechanisms, various new spinning systems can be directly winded into bobbin yarns, thus increasing the package capacity. The winding capacity of ring spinning is about 70-75g, and that of new spinning can reach 1.5-7Kg, which improves the labor productivity.

Sliver feeding is widely used in the new spinning process, and it can be directly spun into bobbin yarn, thus simplifying the process flow. Generally, roving and winding can be omitted. Because the new spinning process is short, it can save capital construction and equipment investment, and also reduce labor staffing.
